Projects for fiscal year 2010-2011
Rickert Road: Corbett Water District will be replacing 3,200 feet of old 1.5" steel waterline on the south side of Rickert Road with 6" C-900 PVC pipe. The old 1.5" steel line has plagued the district due to numerous leaks. The 6" waterline will increase the flow drastically and allow the District to follow their Water Master Plan required by the Oregon Department of Health. This project will give the Rickert Road service area a greater National Fire Protection Association rating on its hydrants in the future.
Reservoir 2 (Cabbage Hill): The District will soon begin repairs on Reservoir 2. The repairs will include: Replacement of inlet piping with new PRV vault, repair of metal roof, removal and repair of internal crack sealant, installation of new electrical service, cathodic protection system, installation of new fence, and revise access easement.
Hydro Generation: Corbett Water District is currently reviewing the recently presented hydro generation feasibility study completed by Mead & Hunt. The board of directors will review and determine if installing a hydro generator will benefit the District. More information on this subject will be published in upcoming months.
